the details+

Mouth-blown glass, which means someone's breath decided how far each belly would curve, and no two came out the same. Coloured glass is one of the few things that adds character to a room without adding bulk. Light goes through it instead of stopping at it, so the colour lands on the wall behind rather than sitting in the corner taking up space.

The candle doesn't sit at the bottom, it hangs. A slim metal cradle holds the flame halfway up the glass, which leaves the entire belly underneath empty and waiting. Fill it with pebbles, dried petals, shells off a holiday, marigold in October, and change it out whenever the month does.

And when you're done with all of that, lift the cradle out. It's a vase.

Baby, Big and Bold. Three sizes, one round attitude, and not one of them looks right on its own. Wind stops at the glass, so the balcony is fair game.

material and care+

Mouth-blown coloured glass, hand-finished in small batches, with a slim metal cradle that lifts straight out. No two bellies curve the same way.

Wipe clean with a soft, dry cloth. Lift the cradle out to clean underneath, or to empty the belly when you want to fill it with something else. Let the glass come back to room temperature before you wash it.

questions, answered+

what is juju?
mouth-blown coloured glass that holds a candle halfway up and stays a vase underneath. one object, two jobs.

where does the candle sit?
in a slim metal cradle that holds the flame halfway up the glass, so the whole belly underneath stays empty.

what do i put in the belly?
pebbles, dried petals, shells off a holiday, marigold in october. change it out whenever the month does.

can i really use it as a vase?
yes. lift the cradle out and it is a vase, no candle involved.

will the colours look identical?
no. every piece is mouth-blown, so no two bellies curve the same way and the depth of colour shifts a little between them.
