Set a tealight in the hollow and the flame picks out every ridge around it. It comes with 4 tealights, so you can light it the day it arrives.

the surface

some trees get offerings too

In Bali, the oldest trees near a temple are treated as sacred. They are wrapped in black and white checked cloth, and offerings are left at their roots.

The Sacred Tree takes its surface from that kind of wood: the grain, the knots, the weathering.

Set a tealight in the hollow and the flame picks out every ridge.

one tealight is enough

why ubud

named after a town of makers

Ubud is a town in the hills of central Bali. The villages around it are known for their crafts: Mas for wood carving, Celuk for silver, Batubulan for stone. Every morning, small offerings of flowers and rice go out on doorsteps and shop counters before the day starts. This collection is for the small things you do at home every day, like lighting a candle, burning something that smells good, or setting the table for friends.

the windowsill

Against a dark window at night, the flame shows up every line of the grain.

the dining table

Only 8 cm high, so nobody has to talk around it.

the bedside

One tealight, lights off. Blow it out before you sleep.
